The statues are packed in wood creates and are shipped by boat.

Is the statue made out of real marble?
The statue is made of marble powder and a resign solution it forms a composite material known as bonded marble (the powder is from real marble).

What is bonded marble?
Bonded marble is a composite material made from natural Italian Carrara marble powder that is mixed with a resin solution. The mixture is then poured into a statue mold. The resin solution enhances the marble powder and makes the statue harder and stronger, superior to the natural stone.

What is Carrara marble powder?
Carrara marble powder is derived from pulverizing small pieces of Carrara marble. Carrara marble is a white marble quarried in Carrara, Italy. This marble was used centuries ago by many different artists in Italy such as Michelangelo. Michelangelo used this particular marble to create two of his masterpieces the Statue of David which can be seen in Florence and the Pietà.

What percentage is marble powder and resin solution?
The statues consist of approximately 75% marble powder and 25% resin solution for strengthening.

How does bonded marble compare to natural marble?
Bonded marble is very much like natural marble. The surface texture is almost identical. The color of the bonded marble is almost white with a hint of gray in it. The natural marble also has gray coloring, but it is more in streaks and certain spots. The bonded marble is whiter than the natural marble. The bonded marble weighs approximately 90% of the weight of the natural marble.

We don’t sell a base for our statues. We suggest you check with a local marble or granite dealer. They are usually listed in the phone book under "marble" or "granite".

How will they be delivered?
Statues under 24" in height are delivered by UPS and can be delivered to your home or business address. Most statues over 24" may require freight delivery. Delivery time is from 5-10 working days depending on where you are located.

Do you have any natural marble statues for sale?
No, not in our Victoria Collection because  natural marble statues are hand carved and are very expensive and more fragile.

No, we cannot engrave the statues.  However, we would suggest checking with a local trophy shop for ordering a small plaque that can be mounted to the front of the statue.

All our marble statues are manufactured in Carrara Italy. The Carrara marble quarries have been in use since for more than 2000 years. The first evidence of extractive activity was in the Roman period. During the imperial age the demand for Carrara marble rose tremendously. About one million tons of Carrara marble is quarried each year. The Carrara Italian foundry is one of the largest foundries for marble in Europe. The marble thus formed in the Italian mountains high above Carrara and Pietrasana is the finest in the world available for sculptural purposes. The greatest masters have always made their art masterpieces from this white stone. Donatello, Michelangelo and Canova came to these areas and chose the blocks to create their masterpieces. Michelangelo created many different pieces with this particular marble, including the Statue of David, which can be seen in Florence on a mountain high above the city.

How Bonded Marble Statues Are Made?
Bonded marble statues are made from a composite material in which natural Carrara marble powder is mixed with a resin solution. The mixture is then poured into a statue mold. The resin solution makes the statue stronger and much superior to the natural stone. The finished product has an almost identical resemblance to the original hand carved marble statue. The texture and features are matched to the original statue; the color is an almost ivory tone white. These bonded marble statues are water proof because of a protective coat that is applied.

Cleaning of Bonded Marble Statues?
To clean your marble statue scrub the statue with a soft bristle brush using soap and water. Bleach or any abrasive cleaners are not recommended as they could remove the protective UV coating. There are companies that clean tile roofs that apply a coat after cleaning that acts like a sealant, this might be the best possible way to get your marble statue cleaned.

Some have suggested using 400 grit sandpaper to remove stains on marble statues that are outdoor. But we do not agree with this since they have a protective coating on them and sanding will damage it.
